Talks have broken down between Western Forest Products and the United Steelworkers union.
According to a post on the union’s facebook page, negotiators met for two days this week but the company refused to move on anything.
According to the post, Western continues to push for concessions on contracting out that would undermine members job security and bring in unsafe, family disrupting alternate shifts.
They say more information will be released later this morning after they have a conference call with local leadership.
No further negotiations are scheduled.
