A multi-million dollar cannabis production facility is being proposed on Airport Road, and plans will be presented to the public tonight.
Wild Coast Canna plans to build a 200,000 square-foot facility on 40 acres, and will rent space to small craft cannabis growers, becoming a hub for island-grown products.
Founder Brian Harris says the Alberni Valley is the perfect place for a project of this scale.
“The expertise exists on the island, they just don’t have a home or a way to be able to participate in the industry,” he said. “We’re going to be able to provide that facility and partner with them to get them into the business.”
Fully built out, the park is expected to generate revenues in excess of $250 million a year and employ 300 people.
The Wild Coast Canna Open House will held at the Best Western Barclay tonight from 5 to 7 pm
