Dobosz sentenced to 18 months probation

After a year and a half of legal negotiations, 42-year old Lance Dobosz was given a suspended sentence and put on probation for 18 months.
Originally charged with multiple sex crimes between 2015 and 2017, Dobosz was to be the subject of a public inquiry before a Supreme Court trial with judge and jury yesterday.
Instead he pled guilty to telecommunicating to lure a child under 16 and was sentenced in Provincial Court.
While Dobosz was advised by his lawyer to not say anything, Judge Ronald Webb commented that the accused was obviously embarrassed and terrified.
He will have to receive counselling, and is not allowed around children under 16 without supervision.
