Two Port Alberni houses have gained the attention of city council, who will be debating their demolition.
The owners of 2808 Tenth Avenue, and another at 4781 Margaret Street, will be receiving orders to clean up their properties and fix up the houses or have them demolished.
A home on Second Avenue was recently demolished after receiving a similar order from the city.
The Bylaw Services Department is also proposing tighter controls on vacant properties to prevent buildings from being taken over by squatters.
Council meets at 2pm Monday to discuss the issues.
