The rains held off for the 34th annual Port Alberni Toy Run, as 568 riders thundered through the city on Saturday, bringing toys and cash for kids at Christmas time.
Riders enjoyed a weekend full of events and left behind tens of thousands of dollars in donations.
Most of the toys were given to the Salvation Army to give to children at Christmas, while others will go to transition houses and other charitable groups.
Port Alberni’s Dwayne Hearn won Sunday’s Poker Run, and donated his winnings back to Toy Run
Proceeds will be spread out among various local children’s charities and family events throughout the year.
