The McLean Mill Society Board has gone off the rails with a flurry of resignations this weekend.
Book-keeper Susan Roth resigned from her position with both the McLean Mill Society and the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce after she requested an audit of mill finances.
Society president Bill Collette said in a statement released this morning, that Roth’s resignation was related to an employer / employee matter between him and his Administrative Assistant – Roth’s daughter.
Collette announced his resignation from the McLean Mill Society Board on Wednesday, saying he will focus his efforts on his position as Executive Director of the AVCOC
Collette says book-keeping will now be handled by Rob Anderson and Associates for the balance of the year, but Roth says that can’t happen since they are also the auditors.
At least two Chamber of Commerce directors are reported to have resigned their seats. We will have more information as this story develops.
