The city is putting the final touches on a order to demolish the Arrowview Hotel.
Scott Smith, the Director of Development Services says a report will be going to city council on Monday, giving reasons why they believe the historic building must be brought down.
He said the Building Inspector has determined that the damage to the building exceeds 75% of its 2018 assessed value of $75,000.00, which is the legal threshold where the city can issue a demolition order.
As soon as the decision is made and the Mayor signs the order, the owner will have 30 days to bring down the Arrowview or the city will do it for him.
