Property values in Port Alberni continue to skyrocket – quickly reducing the gap between island cities.
According to the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board, average sale prices in Port Alberni shot up by 55% last month when compared to the previous March.
Prices have gone from an average of $246,000 last March, to $381,000 today, with the same number of home sold – 36 in the two periods listed.
While Port Alberni remains the most affordable city on the island, we’re now only $110,000 back of Campbell River, where we were half of their $440,000 average only a few months ago.
