City Council is being asked to form a Nuisance Property Working Group, who will investigate problem properties and make recommendations to bring them up to community standards.
The working group would bring together bylaw enforcement, police, fire, and other agencies to investigate safety and crime prevention concerns.
Already the Harbourview, or Frigstad apartments are on the list, as well as the former CJAV building at 2972 Third Avenue and the Beaufort Hotel on Angus Street.
Council will receive reports on the buildings, and make recommendations under the Nuisance Abatement Bylaw.
The issue will be debated at tonight’s city council meeting.
