A notorious panhandler has been told to stay away from upper 3rd Avenue for the next 6 months.
Neil Crossman suffers from schizophrenia and can become quite aggressive if not on his medication.
That was the case last month when he acted in a threatening manner to women and elderly people who had refused his request for change.
Crown Counsel told the court Crossman has been a nightmare for uptown merchants
Phaedra Arsenault who owns Animal Ark, says Crossman has cost her business about 30% because of lost customers.
Crossman is prohibited from being on 3rd Avenue between Argyle and Mar, and on Argyle between 3rd and 4th.
Arsenault said while she appreciates probation conditions keeping Crossman away from her block for the next 6 months, there are now others who will just take his spot, and police and businesses are seemingly powerless to get them to move along.
