Tools are targets for thieves



Tools topped the shopping lists of thieves over the Christmas holidays
 
On Christmas Eve, someone broke into a building on Shoemaker Bay Road belonging to Kurtis Leroy Trucking; J & L Auto; and Don Woodfin Log Transport, and stole an estimated $70,000 worth of tools.
 
A 16′ aluminum ladder was stolen from Canadian Tire on Christmas Day by two suspects who drove up to the secure compound in a white SUV.
 
Someone cut through a chain-link fence at Proactive Industrial Services on Bute Street and broke into the building through a back door on Boxing Day. They left the next day with $3000.00 worth of tools including Milwaukee cordless and electric power tools.
