House prices continue to rise on Vancouver Island.
Prices in Port Alberni jumped by 18% in October, to a benchmark of $250,000
Nanaimo joined Parksville – Qualicum in the $500,000 club, with the Comox Valley not far behind.
The number of sales also increased in the Port Alberni / West Coast area, with 47 homes selling last month, up from 45 in September, and 32 the previous October.
At a meeting of the Planning Commission yesterday, Brandon Crema of Direct Acquisitions Incorporated, presented their plans for the first phase of their development of the former ADSS lands.
The project involves a single family residential subdivision along 16th Avenue and an apartment building at the corner of Burde Street and Anderson Avenue, with more mixed use residential in the second phase.
