Crashes involving five vehicles over the weekend sent three people to hospital and have police searching for a man who ran away.
A brown nissan pickup hit a blue cadillac on Saturday night at the Beaver Creek intersection on River Road.
The driver of the Nissan fled the scene, as he was already the subject of a police investigation after being involved in a fight in the No Frills parking lot earlier in the day, where he smashed the window of a grey honda.
Police are looking for a caucasian man, 5’10 with brown hair, and said he was wearing white and blue shorts and no shirt at the time of the collision
Minutes after the River Road crash, the driver of a Chevrolet tracker tried to get out of the traffic jam, and pulled a u-turn in front of a motorcycle, sending a 52-year old Port Alberni rider to hospital with moderate injuries.
Then on Monday night emergency crews were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Highway 4 near Sutton Pass where a 70-year old woman from Israel hit a cement baracade, sending her and her 43-year old passenger to hospital with minor injuries.
