The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District has hired a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Doug Holmes is a Chartered Professional Accountant who was the Assistant City Manager in Nanaimo before taking the positions of Deputy CAO in the Regional District of North Okanagan as well as the town of High River Alberta.
Holmes will receive a salary of $140,000 a year, which is more than long-time CAO Russell Dyson earned, allegedly leaving to the Comox Regional District after being denied a raise.
