The latest sockeye run forecast has more than doubled the initial estimate and is enough to allow a seine fishery next week.
DFO estimates 350,000 sockeye are returning this year, and 226,000 have already made it to their spawning grounds.
Tseshaht and Hupacsath gillnetters have landed 20,000 sockeye, and recreational anglers have caught more than 10,000
Seiners will start their fishery on Sunday at 10 am, and run through Wednesday evening
Further tests will be done on the weekend and another re-forecast could happen on Tuesday.
