Mid-Island Pacific Rim MLA Scott Fraser is finally off the opposition benches and in government.
He said his work to help those living in poverty will now become easier with the NDP at the helm.
Fraser says the change in government in B-C also could mean big changes to the electoral system, resource development and other key issues.
N-D-P premier-designate John Horgan said his government will set up an arm’s-length commission that will be tasked with establishing a pathway to a minimum wage of at least 15 dollars an hour.
Fraser said NDP members and supporters were celebrating yesterday after Christy Clark’s Liberals were defeated in a non-confidence vote in the legislature, and Lieutenant-Governor Judith Guichon asked John Horgan to form a minority government with the Green party.
Fraser said he’ll find out over the coming days whether he’ll remain Party Whip, in charge of managing a razor-thin minority, or if he’ll be offered a Ministerial position.
