Convicted murderer Kim Rothgordt was back in court earlier this month, appealing his life sentence for killing James Shannon in 2008.
Rothgordt was appealing his life sentence for second-degree murder without the chance of parole for 18 years
His lawyer argued in a Vancouver courtroom that the 49-year old Rothgordt should be aquitted on the basis of self-defense, or convicted on the lesser charge of manslaughter on the basis of extreme intoxication and provocation.
The three judge panel for the BC Court of Appeal, dismissed his arguments unanimously
