City staff have been asked to write reports on issues that may play a part in October’s municipal election.
Councillor Chris Alemany asked for a staff report on the hiring of John Van Dyke by the Economic Development Department.
Van Dyke was paid $30,000 to find funding for city and Port Authority projects, and there is some question about whether or not he provided value for that contract.
Then at the last council meeting Mayor Mike Ruttan asked staff to develop a social media policy after Councillor Chris Alemany admitted to using a fake facebook account to gain entry to a social media group.
Monday’s council meeting will be held at 2 pm, and is the only council meeting this month.
