Backwoods road-rage is being blamed for a cyclist receiving minor injuries on the weekend.
The cyclist was taking a break on the side of Ash Main above the Sproat Lake petroglyphs when an ATV came around the corner and barely missed him.
The cyclist shouted at the ATV rider who then took multiple runs at the cyclist, eventally knocking him off his bicycle.
Police are now looking to speak to the driver of the yellow, 3-wheeled ATV, who was wearing a purple helmet and goggles.
Port Alberni RCMP Cpl. Amelia Hayden said what makes the incident especially worrying is there was a young child on the ATV, and the rider was also putting the child in danger.
