City Council passed the 2018 budget and five-year financial plan with little fanfare or discussion on Monday
Council stuck to their promised 3% annual tax increase, but the vote was by no means unanimous.
Both Councillors Shari Minions and Chris Alemany voted against the budget, and Alemany says he wanted to see more money for infrastructure in order to support the financial plan.
Alemany agreed that the budget was more political with it being an election year, and he wanted to register his opposition to it while at the same time knowing it would pass.
