Mayor Mike Ruttan has failed at one of his campaign promises.
When running for election 4 years ago, Ruttan said he would reduce the number of managers within the city.
After a managerial shake-up following the controversial Rogers Report in 2015, the managerial ranks have since been rebuilt.
Once a proposed bylaw services manager is hired, the city will have 22 managers, one more than when this council began their mandate.
Mayor Ruttan said he has learned that there were reasons behind many managerial positions that he was unaware of before he was elected.
In the past year the city has added a Human Resources Manager, Manager of Police Services, and is advertising for a Bylaw Services as well as a replacement Engineering Services Manager.
