Accused pedophile Jason Zoet appeared in Port Alberni court by video yesterday.
Zoet pled guilty to breaking into a neighbours home on August 27th – less than a month after he’d been released from jail.
He stole a cel phone, 4 tablets, a laptop and an iPad, which he was prohibited from having while on probation.
He was sentenced to a year in jail and 2 years probation.
In the past 9 years, Zoet has been the focus of 97 investigations, 14 of which have resulted in charges.
The 29-year old remains at the Vancouver Island Regional Corrections Center in Victoria, and is still awaiting trial on charges of sexual assault, child luring, and sexual interference of a person under the age of 16.
