People who use the rubberized track at Bob Dailey Stadium remain concerned about its condition, even after repairs have been made.
While the initial surface lasted for more than 20 years, the $400,000 resurfacing hasn’t even lasted for 5 years according to critics.
City CAO Tim Pley said while the warranty on the surface is set to end in a year, the company that installed the product will continue to do repairs, and will be asked to extend their warranty given the recent problems.
He declined to speculate for council what the city would do if an extended warranty is refused.
