The City of Port Alberni might have to pay one of its citizens a royalty to market and advertise the Alberni Pacific Railway.
In his efforts to prove the city has not followed through on its promised takeover of the railway, Roland Smith applied to the BC Registry for the name Alberni Pacific Railway, which was approved.
He said the city should have already locked up that name if due dilligence was done.
Council will reply to Smith’s concerns at their scheduled meeting tonight at 7 pm.
